Challenges impeding practitioners’ proper implementation of mathematical play practice environment

This research explored the challenges impeding practitioners’ proper implementation of mathematical play practice environment using a qualitative phenomenological approach. study was conducted in Motheo District which is Mangaung Municipality Free State with ten females who had obtained matric certificate qualification at least have three years’ experience working ECCE setting as sample. sample purposively chosen for this research. A structured interview guide used tool data collection and its trustworthiness properly ensured. After been collected, real processing, analysis, interpretation took place. We thematic analysis data. With help technique, we were able to analyze unstructured responses find trends themes. It found that are constraints relation indoor outdoor resources infrastructure; emanating from qualifications relating support expected DSD DBE, custodians ECCE. finding has practical policy implications sense practitioners cannot effectively implement presence identified unless adequate framework designed take care such challenges. Thus, it recommended appropriate authority should design an implementable guideline on use environment.
